Reverence is the Gateway!

There are moments when the universe brings a mirror to your doorway — gentle at first, yet lined with the weight of truth.

After my recent gathering, a continuous echo of instruction came to me — a reminder to all who walk the path: that the sacred is never casual, and that devotion cannot be rushed.

We live in a time when the sacred has become accessible, yet dangerously casual.

When ceremonies that once took years of apprenticeship are now packaged into weekend experiences.

When people approach the spirit realms like a vending machine: insert intention, expect enlightenment.

There’s a modern tendency to seek shortcuts — to believe that awakening can be achieved by replicating what visionaries, creators, or innovators once did under the influence of sacred plants.

But the truth is: what they touched briefly, the initiated cultivate for a lifetime.

To awaken is not to consume what others consumed — it is to become the prayer itself.

True healing cannot be hurried.

You cannot rush the uncoiling of lifetimes in the body, nor demand revelation before humility has ripened.

To heal, to remember, to embody light — these are not goals to be optimized.

They are gardens that require stillness, tending, and respect for timing.  For clearance to arrive.  

The Babaylan and Shamans knows this well.

The veil is thin — yes — but that is not permission to tread carelessly.

The thinness is an invitation to walk softer, bow deeper, and remember that the unseen world listens to how we approach, not just what we seek.

This path is not proclaimed; it is cultivated.

Not by saying “I am this,” but by becoming this — through humility, time, devotion, and Divine clearance. 

To hold ceremony at its purest is not to host an event.

It is to midwife the unseen into the seen — and that takes sincerity of the heart- not proclaimed by the mind ., years of inner death, renewal, and disciplined remembering.

Breath, sound, prayer, Plant allies — these are not toys of transcendence.

They are ancient technologies, guardians of the threshold.

They do not bend to curiosity; they respond to readiness.

And readiness, is a vibration only sincerity, practice and clearance can open.

Therefore do not rush your healing.

Do not chase the visions of another when your own soul is still whispering its first prayer.  And it’s first unfolding.

Do not mistake intensity for depth or sensation for awakening.

The medicine works only as deep as your reverence goes.  Sit in stillness. 

May we not rush to crown ourselves keepers of medicine before we have sat long enough with our own darkness.

May we not paint with the colors of ceremony before we have learned the patience of silence. Calm in our exciting to unfold.

And may we remember:

Reverence and honoring the path is the gateway —

Never the shortcut. 

May this instruction land as a possibility for your practice and not a refusal to embrace

And if you find resistance stirring within you, take it not as defiance but as revelation.

For when the ego rejects a truth, it signals precisely where the work must begin.

The place that tightens against wisdom is the very place the sacred is asking to be let in.
