After the Portal, We Stepped Forward

The Lion’s Gate portal had just opened and closed, its currents still rippling through the stream.

That kind of energy doesn’t simply vanish — it lingers, reshaping us from the inside out.

It asks questions we don’t always expect: Will you move forward, even when the ground feels different? Will you trust what you can’t yet see?

Today, in the wake of that cosmic threshold, the students of Second Degree Reiki arrived.

Some carried uncertainty. Some carried quiet resolve. All carried the unseen tug that led them here. Some carried confusion yet despite of it all the Yes was anchored in.

It would have been easy to wait for “the right time.”

To delay until life settled, or until clarity came dressed in certainty.

But they didn’t.

They stepped forward anyway.

Sometimes our mind holds on, comfortably convincing us that we’ll act “when the energy aligns” or “when the time is right.” But I tell you - the call rarely arrives wrapped in convenience. It comes in the midst of ordinary days, in moments when our hearts feel heavy or our focus is elsewhere. And perhaps that is the true test — to step forward not because the path is perfectly lit, but because something within us knows the light will meet us as we walk forward in trust and uncertainty.

We entered the space with reverence.

The golden light in the room seemed to hum with welcome — the kind of light that feels alive, as though it recognizes the work you’ve come to do.

Hands were placed with intention. Breath slowed. Hearts synchronized.

In the attunement, the current surged.

I felt it in my palms much stronger than ever — warm, insistent, and boundless — reminding me once again that Reiki does not require our perfection.

It meets us exactly as we are and carries us into who we are becoming.

By the time we closed, there was a stillness in the room — not the absence of movement, but the fullness of presence.

Something had shifted.

Something had deepened.

Today was not just a class.

It was a meeting point between the cosmic and the human, between the portal’s lingering invitation and the students’ embodied “yes.”

And in that meeting point, Reiki flowed — as it always does — in the only way it knows how: completely, unconditionally, and forever forward.
